According to AAFA's President and CEO, Kevin Burke, the Association represents an industry on "the frontlines of globalization," producing, marketing, and selling apparel and footwear in every country around the world. The Association's comments highlighted regulatory differences between the EU and US, including: - phthalate testing for children's pajamas; - conformity and testing harmonization; - labeling; and - internal harmonization. Additionally, AAFA suggests development of a regulatory cooperation committee between the two countries.
