The requirements are based on the following standards:  ABNT NBR NM 300-1:2004; ABNT NBR NM 300-2:2004; ABNT NBR NM 300-3:2004; ABNT NBR NM 300-4:2004; ABNT NBR NM 300-5:2004; ABNT NBR NM 300-6:2004; ABNT NBR 11786:1998 and ASTM F963-11. Annex A contains a lengthy list of toys covered by this rule. However this list is not to be considered exhaustive. Annex B contains a list of products which are not covered by this proposal. Annex C comprises a list of toys accessories and packaging which are prohibited in Brazil from the date of entry into force, except for packaging of toiletries resembling a toy or that could be used as a toy which is prohibited from 12 months thereafter.
