On 12 March 2013 the Bulgarian Council of Ministers published the Decree which Approves the Bulgarian Ordinance on Marketing of Electric and Electronic Equipment Containing Restricted Hazardous Substances. This Decree implements EU: Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2011/65/EU and the Bulgarian Protection Against the Harmful Impact of Chemical Substances and Preparations Act, 2000.

Limits for cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, mercury, polybrominated biphenyl and polybrominated diphenyl ethers are contained in the text which entered into force on 15 March 2013.
