News reports indicate that the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee of the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) voted to add bisphenol-A (BPA) to the list of reproductive toxicants under Proposition 65.

The listing could trigger a labeling requirement for manufacturers of products containing BPA.  OEHHA previously proposed a maximum allowable dose level of 290 micrograms/day as the safe harbor limit below which no warning label would be required.
