The announcement included the scope and conditions for the applicable products, application requirements for companies, the implementation procedure, incentive measures, and supervision methods. Companies may submit the application form (Annex I) for evaluation and the selection will be based on the Top Runner product selection criteria contained in Annex II.
Approved products may be marked as "Top Runner" products. The evaluation and selection of the “Top Runner" energy efficiency products will be held once a year. The finalized list of successful products will be published on the China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Chinese Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) websites. This program is implemented on a voluntary basis.
