The European Commission has published a roadmap laying down its intentions for the future development of the candidate list of substances of very high concern, under the REACH Regulation 1907/2006.
The previously stated aim of listing 136 substances by the end of 2012 was surpassed, 138 having been listed. The Commission's long term objective is to list all currently known SVHCs in the candidate list by 2020.
