The Bill would restrict the manufacture, sale, offer for sale or distribution of any children's jewelry that contains cadmium at more than .0075% by weight, that exceeds the level set forth in ASTM F2923:2011, Specification for Consumer Product Safety for Children's Jewelry, on and after 1 July 2014. The bill defines "children's jewelry" to mean any jewelry, including charms, bracelets, pendants, necklaces, earrings or rings, and any component thereof, that is designed or intended to be worn or used by children twelve years of age or younger.
