The US Consumer Product Safety Commission intends to regulate small high-powered magnet sets. This follows a similar action by Australia in recent weeks.
The magnets are marketed not as toys but as sculptures, puzzles and stress-relievers and are labeled not suitable for children, but 70% of related injuries were to children aged between 4 and 12 years.
