The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that it is expanding the scope of the ENERGY STAR (R) Imaging specification for high performance ink jet printers and multifunction devices Version 2.0 to add large format devices.

The existing Imaging Test Method and the same energy efficiency requirements will apply.  This expansion of the scope of Version 2.0 will not impact any existing certifications and does not require any changes to the QPX data exchange.
