The text dates from December 31, 2013 and has changed from the last version dated July 2012. According to the introductory text, the main changes from the regulation issued in 2007 version are: - more precise definition of "economic operators" as well as changes to conformity assessment - requirements for manufacturers to analyze all risks associated with low voltage equipment and evaluate the possibility of exposure - adding electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Plugs and wall sockets, previously excluded from scope, now appear to be in scope. Other additions include a number of new safety requirements.
