There is no list of covered products in the revised draft, rather there is a broad, EU RoHS style definition of "electrical and electronic products" which excludes only power generation, transmission and distribution equipment. A catalogue including covered products will be enacted at a later stage.
The substance restrictions remain limited to 6 substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE) though with a provision allowing for the list to be expanded to "other harmful substances".
Product labels must include the environmental protection use period (EFUP) and information on hazardous substance content.
The draft also requires the packaging for electrical and electronic products to be non-hazardous, easily degradable, and facilitate recycling and use.
The new draft is available for public comment until June 17, 2015.
