The Order is intended to ensure that goods made from pig or dog are easily identifiable, especially by Muslim consumers. The Order requires goods made from pig or dog parts to be labeled, tagged or marked clearly, in the manner prescribed in the Order. Additionally, the Order requires such goods to be displayed separately on a retailer's premises. The Order took effect on 1 February 2014.
