Furthermore under the provisions of the amendment facilities must allow inspections authorized by the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) to be carried out, once the required identification and documentation have been provided. Inspectors may temporally remove products for testing, and if irregularities are discovered, manufacturers have within 30 days to remove non-compliant goods and rectify errors. If irregularities have not been corrected in the allocated time frame the UKE may then notify the European Commission. All costs associated with the testing of goods are to be paid by the manufacturer. The amendment enters into force on August 14, 2015.
