It is introducing limitations for the following hazardous substances in particular specified electrical and electronic equipment: - Cadmium (0.01%) - Hexavalent Chromium (0.1%) - Lead (0.1%) - Mercury (0.1%) - Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (0.1%) - Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) (0.1%) The items covered by the Act include air conditioners, mobile phones, portable computers, televisions, washing machines and refrigerators designed for household use.
