This Specification includes the safety of transportable tools, electric motor-operated hand-held tools and lawn and garden machinery, which have the following attributes:  - Maximum rated voltage which does not exceed 250 volt, single phase a.c or d.c.  - Maximum rated voltage which does not exceed 480 volt, three phase a.c  - Maximum rated input which does not exceed 4000 watts  In accordance with the Compulsory Specification, both importers and manufacturers who wish to obtain approval for the sale of their products have to guarantee that each product type is approved by the NRCS (National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications) prior to selling.
