Under the proposal, the 90 ppm limit on lead in toys for children three and under would be expanded to toys for children 14 and under. TIA's survey seeks to understand potential impacts of this expanded restriction on manufacturers and retailers, asking whether the proposed expansion would have no impact (and why); would increase testing costs (and by how much); force them to stop selling toys in Canada; or reduce the number of toys that they sell in Canada. The survey is open through Monday, 7 October 2013, on the TIA website.
