It also proposes the introduction of new rights for consumers and business, in an effort to simplify the efforts needed to resolve issues in dealing with good and services problems. In addition, the Bill will help to reduce the burden on business and associated costs as well as modernize the framework for the digital age and better protect consumers where necessary. Businesses are set to benefit from the Bill with; faster and lower cost remedies for businesses who have been disadvantaged from breaches in competition law, a reduction in on-going training costs as laws are simplified, and also enforcers such as Trading Standards Officers will need to give reasonable notice to businesses when carrying out routine inspections.
