This online tool will provide worldwide information on labelling requirements for the sporting goods industry, as well as other sectors facing the same challenges. Product categories include apparel and textile, footwear, consumer electronics (wearables), personal protective equipment, sporting equipment and bikes (including e-bikes). With this intelligence companies avoid potential costly re-work, stop ships, product recalls, and ultimately revenue and brand damage. The labelling database initiative is the result of a collaborative and pioneering effort among sporting goods companies. Interested parties experiencing issues with labelling their products, such as those from the fashion sector, are invited to join the project to benefit from significant economies of scale. “We are all facing the same challenge of dealing with a blurry jungle of worldwide labelling information that demands considerable time, energy and cost for our industry. This unique online tool provided by Compliance & Risks, will substantially facilitate and revolutionise the daily business life for companies”, said Robbert de Kock, President & CEO of the WFSGI.
