ASTM Subcommittee F15.22 issued a work item to revise its toy safety standard, ASTM F963, regarding microbiological cleanliness.
The work
item seeks to:
- more clearly specify which products are subject to microbiological cleanliness testing;
- provide additional test protocol options for microbiological cleanliness testing (e.g., the CTFA Microbiology Guidelines and similar);
- extend cleanliness testing to feather products; and
- more.
