The Chinese Ministry of Environment Protection (MEP) has issued its Catalogue of Priority Hazardous Chemicals for Environment Management (the Catalogue).
According to the Measures on Environmental Management Registration of Hazardous Chemicals (MEP Order No. 22), chemicals listed in the Catalogue are subject to environmental administration registration. Manufactures and users of listed hazardous chemicals are required to submit applications to local authority and obtain registration certificates. The Catalogue includes 84 hazardous chemicals and will be amended regularly.
