The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has opened a public consultation on harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) proposals for bendiocarb. A toxic carbamate pesticide, the substance already has a harmonized classification for acute toxicity and environmental hazards.
The UK, who submitted the dossier, is proposing to update the current classification for acute toxicity and include M-factors to the classification for environmental hazards. Bendiocarb is used to control insects, mites and spiders.
The consultation closes on September 15, 2014.
