Mary Liddane, Global Compliance Project Manager, Compliance & Risks will present on the Countering WEEE Illegal Trade (CWIT) Project at ERA’s annual environmental conference, ‘Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment 2014’. This event will take place this November, 12-13 at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport.
The latest news regarding substance issues (the RoHS2 Directive and REACH), ecodesign, end-of-life (the new WEEE2 Directive), responsible sourcing (conflict minerals) and sustainability will be covered during the conference.
Mary currently manages Compliance & Risks involvement in the CWIT Project within a consortium that includes INTERPOL and UN agencies. The project will collect, study, and identify gaps in the current legislation affecting illegal trade in WEEE, in place at the International and European level.
