The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is revising and expanding its existing regulations covering the compliance certification of applicable energy conservation standards and the reporting of related ratings for commercial heating, ventilating, air- conditioning (HVAC), water heating (WH), and refrigeration equipment covered by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act.
As part of this final rule, DOE is revising the information certified to the Department for each basic model of commercial HVAC, WH, and refrigeration equipment to reflect the negotiated outcomes of the Commercial Certification Working Group.
The effective date of this rule is June 4, 2014.
