The first draft task report from the ecodesign preparatory study to establish the EU “Ecodesign Working Plan 2015-2017” has been published.
The preparatory study is being carried out by Oeko-Institut, BIO by Deloitte and ERA Technology for the EU Commission under the Ecodesign for Energy Related Products Directive 2009/125/EC. Its aim is to develop the classification of product groups, and identify 20 priority products for future ecodesign (and potentially energy labeling) legislation.
The draft task report consists of two main chapters, namely Chapter 1 on “Study definition and methodology”, and Chapter 2 detailing stakeholder involvement to date.
The first stakeholder meeting to discuss the study is scheduled to take place in Brussels on July 3, 2014.
