The German Environment Agency (UBA) has announced new Chemicals Regulations Sanctions with penalties of up to €50,000 and 5 years imprisonment.
Companies who violate reporting requirements under EU REACH could face fines of up to €50,000 according to the UBA. For breaches in regulations that endanger life, those responsible could face up to 5 years in prison.
