Jordan has issued a number of notifications to the World Trade Organization (WTO), indicating its intention to adopt new regulations on dangerous goods, food contact articles, packaging waste, product safety, and toys.
Each of these notifications represents transpositions of the EU's requirements into Jordan's national law. For instance, Jordan's proposal on packaging and distribution of goods represents a partial transposition of the EU's Directive 94/62/EC on Packaging and Packaging Waste.
Comments for each proposed law are due by 26 November 2012.
