Almost quarter of industry representatives polled stated that their products will be affected by the new China RoHS 2 (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) deadline. The survey was carried out during a recent ‘Actions & Uncertainties: China RoHS 2’ webinar presented by Compliance & Risks’ knowledge partner, Mike Kirschner of Design Chain Associates.
Another 56% of attendees said their products were already in scope of the original China RoHS regulation, while 15% weren’t sure. China RoHS 2 is due to come into force on July 1, 2016.
