California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is proposing to adopt new regulations in the California Code of Regulations, further enhancing the “right-to-know” purposes of the statute and providing more specific guidance on the content of safe harbor warnings in relation to a number of exposure situations, and the related methods for providing those warnings.
A specific section is also being proposed to the regulations to cover the relative responsibilities for providing warnings for businesses in the supply chain versus retail sellers of a given product.
On March 25, 2015, a public hearing will take place. However all written comments must be submitted by April 8, 2015.
