On the 22nd of October Norway published proposals to implement changes to the REACH Regulation No 440/2008 laying down test methods to be used where such tests are required to assess substances and preparations features.
Through three new ordinances updated five test methods and eight new test methods are introduced. The proposed changes will improve the quality of the tests and reduce the need for the use of laboratory animals. Implementation of the three ordinances is a necessary condition for Norwegian companies to get access to the EU market.
The deadline for comments is 19 January 2013.
