On December 11, Taiwan announced the amendment of their Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act (TCSCA) and includes 13 amended articles and 4 new articles.
The Amendment takes effect on the day of promulgation except for Articles 7.1, 7.2, 17, 35.10, 35.1 and 41 which will come into force one year after its promulgation on 11 December 2014.
Under the newly introduced articles, manufacturers and importers dealing with certain quantities of existing chemical substances must register and submit information on the chemical substances to the central authority.
