On 11 December 2013, Turkey published the final version of its CLP (classification, labeling and packaging) regulation which came into force on that date. The Turkish regulation will fully repeal the former Turkish Classification regulation as of 1st of June 2016.
Under the regulation, classification and labeling is obligatory from 1 June 2015 for substances and from 1 June 2016 for mixtures. As a general principle and similar to the EU CLP, a two-year transition period for products placed on the market prior to that date will apply.
