The US Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) is revising its regulatory approach to the management of chemical exposures in the workplace. They are inviting stakeholder input up until April 8, 2015, in relation to more effective and efficient approaches to address the challenges of the current regulatory approach.
This request for information is principally concerned with chemicals that cause adverse health effects from long-term occupational exposure and will review:
- issues related to updating permissible exposure limits (PELs),
- other strategies that might be implemented to deal with workplace conditions where workers are exposed to chemicals.
