On December the 11th 2012 published a Senate Bill on toy and game safety labeling and is pending its first reading which is due on the 12th of December.
The bill was prepared jointly by the Committees on Trade and Commerce, and Health and Demography with Senators Villar and Defensor-Santiago as authors thereof.
The bill was prepared in substitution of proposed Senate Bills Nos. 1308 and 1547 and taking into consideration P.S. Resolution No. 191 and House Bill No. 6529)

"SEC. 4. Labeling Requirements/or Toys and Games. - All toys and games locally or internationally manufactured that are imported, donated, distributed and sold in the Philippines shall comply with the appropriate provisions on safety labeling and manufacturer's markings found in the Philippine National Standards (PNS) for the safety of toys."
This Act shall take effect fifteen (IS) days after its 32 publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
